HAYDEN Panettiere has sparked concern as she slurred her words in a new interview.

The Nashville star, 35, appeared in a new video as she opened up about being sober and the tragic loss of her 28-year-old brother Jansen, who died in February 2023.

Hayden told People magazine that she felt like she had “lost half of her soul” when he died.

The emotional interview has left fans worried after they spotted that Hayden appeared to be “struggling to keep her eyes open.”

“This is so uncomfortable to watch,” one viewer wrote.

“Take this video down please. Have some respect and compassion,” second posted.

“Can someone please take this video down. Hayden clearly is struggling here,” a third echoed.

“Slurred speech eyes can barely stay open, trying to make it through long words clearly not sober. Very sad.”

Another went further, slamming the magazine.

“It’s appalling when you consider that this was likely seen by several people before it was posted and you guys still felt this was the right move. This should have never even made it into the editing room and you know it,” they wrote.

Hayden told People that she struggled to leave her house for days after losing her sibling.

“I had to see horrific paparazzi pictures of myself coming out of Jansen’s funeral, which happened in a very private place, and it was shocking,” she said.

“My agoraphobia came out, which is something I’ve struggled with in the past.”

The star said her outlook on life has changed since losing her brother.

“When something that massive has happened to you, you really learn to pick your fights and just not let the little things upset you,” she added.

“Because once something so horrific, so deep, so catastrophic happens in your life, there’s not much that can really rock you.”

FAMILY IN MOURNING

The Heroes star and her family shared their shock at losing Jansen last year.

“Though it offers little solace, the Medical Examiner reported Jansen’s sudden passing was due to cardiomegaly (enlarged heart), coupled with aortic valve complications,” the family told ABC News at the time.

“We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support towards our family as we navigate this unthinkable loss, and ask that we be gifted our privacy during this time of mourning,” they added.

“We love you so much Jansen and you will be in our hearts forever.”

SHOCKING LOSS

TMZ broke the story that the young actor’s body was discovered inside his New York-area apartment on February 19.

Friends expressed concerns when he was a no-show at a business meeting.

They raced to his apartment, found him unresponsive in a chair, and performed emergency CPR, but it was too late.

According to police reports, Jansen was found “laying on his back on the living room floor, not breathing, and cold to the touch.”

“There were no obvious signs of trauma observed by the undersigned.”

The report states that Hayden and Jansen’s father, Alan, visited the scene before his son was declared dead.

A spokesperson for the local police department told The U.S. Sun at the time that they responded to a call at 5:03 pm.

HAYDEN’S BATTLE

Hayden previously opened up about how a battle with addiction took her from being one of TV’s hottest stars to losing her hair.

In April 2023, the actress revealed that she was also left with yellow eyes after struggling with drugs and alcohol in her twenties.

Hayden admitted she turned to the bottle to cope with post-partum depression.

The star took opioid painkillers to deal with a neck injury which left her in “a lot of pain,” she “mixed” them with alcohol, and they became a “problem.”

Hayden, who shares her daughter Kaya with her ex-partner Wladimir Klitschko, admitted she followed a 12-step program to overcome her addiction.

Hayden underwent her first stint in rehab in 2015, while still filming for hit show Nashville, before deciding to leave the industry.

And when she failed to stop drinking the first time around, she returned for treatment in 2021, enrolling in a 12-month program.

It took eight months of “intensive therapy” to help Hayden move on past her addiction, after “choosing to be a good person.”
