Most recently, she called out airport restaurants for their lack of true gluten-free options.

She shared a photo of a restaurant’s menu that listed a gluten-free pizza base but discovered that it was cooked in the same rolling oven as regular pizzas. In a pointed message, she wrote, “DEAR AIRPORT RESTAURANTS: do not get our hopes up by listing a gluten-free pizza crust. We literally walked out of our way to sit down to a nice meal before a long flight. If you cook the gluten-free pizza in a rolling pizza oven with every other regular pizza, it is no longer a gluten-free pizza. Save yourself the energy of even stocking a gluten-free crust. Also, airports: do better for people with celiac disease.”

Dylan’s advocacy highlights an issue that many people with dietary restrictions face while traveling. Her candid post struck a chord with others in the celiac community, many of whom shared similar experiences in the comments.
