Beyoncé may hold the title of Queen B, but according to her mother, Tina Knowles, it’s actually Blue Ivy Carter who wields the most influence in the Knowles-Carter household. 

The 13-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z has already proven herself as a budding star, 

and her grandmother is more than happy to share just how much of a powerhouse she is behind the scenes.

Tina Knowles recently appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show, where she discussed a variety of topics, including her haircare line, Cécred, which she co-founded with Beyoncé. 

However, the conversation soon turned to a significant night for the Knowles-Carter family: Beyoncé’s historic Album of the Year win at the Grammys. 

After nearly two decades of nominations, Beyoncé finally took home the prestigious award, making the night one to remember.

During the interview, Tina recalled watching the Grammys from home with Beyoncé’s youngest children, twins Rumi and Sir, while also helping Blue and her mother get ready for the event. She admitted that she was in disbelief when Beyoncé’s name was announced as the winner for Best Country Album, even referencing the viral moment where the singer jumped out of her seat in shock.

While Beyoncé’s Grammy win was a major highlight, Tina couldn’t resist poking fun at her granddaughter Blue Ivy, who has already established herself as a rising star. Blue has taken center stage as a featured dancer during her mother’s Renaissance World Tour and even at the “Beyoncé Bowl” in December. According to Tina, Blue is a “bossy little Capricorn like her grandma,” showcasing her natural leadership skills even in the most glamorous settings.

Tina revealed that Blue occasionally helps her navigate social media but is not always impressed with her grandmother’s posts. “She’ll call me sometimes and be like, ‘Grandma, that was really whack, you need to take that off of there,’” Tina said with a laugh. When asked whether Blue would follow in her mother’s legendary footsteps, Tina quickly shut down the assumption. “Hell no!” she declared, explaining that Blue has a wide range of talents and interests. According to her grandmother, Blue is a “jack of all trades” who is capable of excelling in many different areas, not just music.

Tina also emphasized that Beyoncé and Blue share a particularly close bond, making it unnecessary for her to offer much advice. “Her and her mother are really tight, so they don’t need me to give much advice. They just tell me to mind my business,” she joked.
