Al B. Sure! couldn’t contain his emotions, claiming Kim Porter’s de@th wasn’t from an illness as previously announced but was meant to protect him and their son from Diddy. What happened?

Al B. Sure!, the R&B singer best known for his hit “Nite and Day,” recently opened up about his past relationship with Kim Porter,

the late model and actress, and his interactions with the music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.

This revelation comes as part of the new Peacock documentary Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy,

where Sure shares candid insights into his connection with both Porter and Combs, shedding light on the complexities of their relationships during the 1990s.

Porter, who was involved with Diddy for many years and is the mother of four of his children,

including Christian Combs, 26, and 18-year-old twins Jessie and D’Lila Combs, passed away in November 2018 due to lobar pneumonia.

Her sudden death shocked the world, and speculation about her personal life, including her past relationships, has resurfaced amid new developments.

In the documentary, Al B. Sure! recalls a tense situation involving Diddy and his relationship with Porter. He explained, “I was told that [Combs] wasn’t too happy about anyone who had a relationship with Kimberly.” Sure continued by recounting Porter’s cautionary advice, claiming she warned him about the risks of getting involved with the situation. “Kimberly said, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t get involved. You will get killed.’”

While Sure didn’t elaborate fully on the details, he hinted at the gravity of the situation, stating that Porter was not only trying to protect him but also putting her own safety at risk in the process. Sure, whose real name is Albert Brown, acknowledged the seriousness of the situation, though he refrained from further elaborating due to ongoing legal matters. “Let’s just say you gotta listen to Kimberly,” he said, emphasizing how she tried to shield both of them from potential danger.

In addition to his reflections on Porter, Sure also addressed misconceptions regarding the relationship between Diddy and his son, Quincy Brown, whom he shares with Porter. For years, rumors circulated that Diddy had adopted Quincy, but Sure clarified that this was not the case. “There’s no adoption. None,” he said firmly. “And if you haven’t noticed, his name is still Brown.” This statement sought to dispel false narratives and shed light on the true nature of his family’s dynamic with Diddy.

While Sure’s revelations offer an inside look at the tensions between him, Porter, and Diddy, Combs’ team has publicly denied the allegations presented in the documentary. In a statement to E! News, Combs’ legal team dismissed the claims, calling them part of a “conspiracy” and accusing the documentary of perpetuating false information. They criticized NBC and Peacock for giving a platform to individuals they deemed “liars” and “opportunists.”

In the wake of these allegations, Porter’s children—Quincy, Christian, Jessie, and D’Lila—have been vocal in defending the truth surrounding their mother’s death. Following the resurgence of speculation about Porter’s passing, they released a statement addressing the matter. “While it has been incredibly difficult to reconcile how she could be taken from us too soon, the cause of her death has long been established,” they wrote on Instagram. “There was no foul play.”

As the legal battles surrounding Diddy continue, new developments continue to unfold. Combs is currently facing serious accusations, including sexual assault and sex trafficking, leading to multiple investigations. In March 2024, federal agents executed search warrants at his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, leading to heightened media scrutiny and further accusations from several women.

However, Combs has denied all charges, with his legal team insisting that the accusations are unfounded and part of a smear campaign. “Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged,” Combs wrote in a public statement. His lawyer has pledged to fight these charges vigorously, with Combs maintaining his innocence.

As the legal drama unfolds, Al B. Sure!’s interview provides a rare glimpse into the complicated relationships and untold stories surrounding the lives of Kim Porter, Sean “Diddy” Combs, and those closest to them. The full extent of these narratives remains to be seen, and fans will likely continue to grapple with the tangled web of personal and legal challenges that have come to light.
