Michael Lohan, the 64-year-old father of actress Lindsay Lohan, 

has been issued a protective order in Harris County, Texas, following an incident with his estranged wife, Kate Major. 

The order, which was issued on Saturday, mandates that Lohan stay 

at least 200 feet away from Major and refrain from any form of communication that could be perceived as threatening or harassing. 

The order also states that Lohan is prohibited from approaching Major, even if he isn’t carrying a firearm.

The protective order comes after a series of events that escalated in recent days. 

On Friday, Major, a 42-year-old former entertainment journalist for Star magazine, contacted the police after Lohan allegedly showed up at a medical building where she was receiving a test. During the police investigation, Major revealed that Lohan had previously “flipped her out of a chair” at their residence, and she expressed concern that he had been following her. Major further told the authorities that she feared for her safety and the safety of their two young children.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that a female deputy who responded to the call had noticed a bruise on Major’s body. Following the investigation, Lohan was arrested and charged with felony “continuous violence against the family.” This charge stems from allegations of repeated acts of violence or threats of harm within a family setting.

Lohan’s attorney, Andrew Raynal, has denied the allegations, stating that the timing of Major’s complaint is suspicious. In the video, Major referred to Lohan as a “psychopath” and expressed concern for their children’s well-being, saying, “These poor kids, these poor children.” At one point, Major also suggested that Lohan should be taken for a psychiatric evaluation. The confrontation ended with Major speaking to an officer, but no charges were filed.
