According to a new poll conducted by Newsweek, the Duchess of Sussex was liked by 36 percent of the adults polled. Meghan was disliked by 24 percent, giving her an approval rating of +12, equal to that of King Charles III. Despite this, Meghan’s rating shows a stark decline from the poll conducted just three months ago, in February.

The poll from the start of the year showed Meghan was favored by 31 percent of the adults polled and viewed unfavorably by 30 percent. Similarly, the latest poll shows King Charles is favored by 31 percent of adults polled. Although he also has a net approval of +12, the 75-year-old was viewed unfavorably by only 19 percent.

Despite being a U.S. citizen, Meghan has fallen far behind the Prince and Princess of Wales and Prince Harry in U.S.-based popularity polls and continues to do so. However, the latest boost in the new poll will likely be welcomed by the Duchess of Sussex, who soft-launched her new brand back in March. As was shown in earlier studies, the Princess of Wales is still the most popular royal, even though it’s been a little over a month since she was told she has cancer. Based on the poll, 45% of those asked think Kate is attractive, while only 13% think she is not. It used to be +35, but now it’s +32, which is a small drop.

In the February poll, Prince Harry’s score dropped by 2% from the previous poll. Twelve percent liked the Duke of Sussex, who is currently in the UK, and eighteen percent didn’t like him.

A similar study found that 10% of people liked Prince William. This week, he will not meet his brother in the UK. Only 12% of those asked said they didn’t like him.
