Sean “Diddy” Combs, the 55-year-old music mogul currently awaiting trial on federal charges including sex trafficking, 

was unexpectedly transported from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn to the Brooklyn Hospital Center late Thursday night. 

The transportation, which took place around 10 p.m., was reportedly carried out discreetly to avoid attracting attention from other inmates or prison staff.

Sources close to the situation confirmed that Combs sought medical attention for his knee, which had been causing him significant discomfort. 

He was given an MRI, a non-invasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to create detailed images of the body’s internal structures, including muscles, bones, and blood vessels. 

While his representatives have not yet commented, multiple sources reported that Combs did not stay overnight in the hospital, and was back in his cell within a few hours following the examination.

Combs has a well-documented history of knee issues. In 2020, he underwent his fourth knee surgery within a two-year period, a result of recurring injuries that have plagued him for years. At the time, he shared his struggles with his followers on Instagram, humorously admitting that his clumsiness contributed to his frequent injuries. “I’m clumsy. I trip. I fall. I fall in holes,” he wrote, detailing his surgeries, which included procedures for both his rotator cuffs and a knee replacement. Despite the setbacks, he framed these challenges as part of a larger spiritual journey, writing, “This is God’s work to slow me down.”

The recent MRI visit to the hospital was not related to any incident of violence or emergency, as some speculated. There were rumors that Combs might have been involved in a prison altercation, but these have been denied. Instead, it appears his knee discomfort, which has been a lingering problem for years, led to the decision to seek medical care. Combs’ prison stint, which began after his arrest on charges of federal sex trafficking, has reportedly been taking a toll on his health, with his long history of medical issues possibly exacerbated by the conditions of incarceration.

Combs is currently facing serious charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and the transportation of individuals for prostitution. He is set to stand trial in May 2025. As Combs faces the mounting legal and personal challenges ahead, his future remains uncertain. He continues to fight for his freedom, while also contending with his health issues. With his trial set to begin in May, the coming months will be critical as the music mogul seeks to clear his name and address the serious charges that have led to his time behind bars.
